Spanish for You! is a theme-based Spanish curriculum created by Debbie Annett, designed specifically for parents and teachers with no Spanish background of their own. Each themed course (Mi Vida, Estaciones, Verbos, Fiestas, and more) runs a full school year and includes step-by-step lesson plans, audio files, worksheets, and access to an online library of games and review activities.
The same core content spans grade bands (3-4, 5-6, 7-8), so siblings at different levels can learn together using the same themed course, each working from materials suited to their age. The curriculum is primarily secular, though the Fiestas theme includes some cultural and religious holiday content (like Día de los Muertos and Holy Week) presented as academic cultural context rather than devotional material — families who’d rather avoid that can start with a different theme, like Estaciones. Completing about four themes is roughly equivalent to one full high school Spanish credit.
