Classics for Kids is an educational outreach program of Cincinnati Public Radio (90.9 WGUC), hosted by Naomi Lewin. Each short podcast episode introduces children to a classical composer through engaging storytelling, music samples, and age-appropriate context — covering well-known names like Mozart and Beethoven alongside lesser-known but equally interesting composers.
The companion website includes printable lesson plans and activity sheets for K-5, an interactive composer timeline, a dictionary of musical terms, online games, and a composer database families can browse by era or alphabetically. Everything is completely free and requires no prep — families can listen during car rides, meals, or as a short stand-alone lesson during the school day.
