ArtAchieve was created by John Hofland on the belief that drawing is a learnable skill, not an innate talent. Each lesson teaches a drawing technique through folk art inspired by a specific country or culture — from Haitian steel-barrel art to Polish angel motifs — with cross-curricular connections to history, geography, literature, and science woven throughout.
Lessons are organized into five skill-based levels (not tied to grade), so students of any age start at Level 1 if new to drawing. Each lesson can be purchased individually or as part of a level bundle, offering one year of access, with two free sample lessons available to try before buying. Instructions are available as either a video or PowerPoint-style walkthrough, and use simple, affordable supplies most families already have on hand.
